Job Posting Rules

Last updated: May 25, 2026

Joblist is committed to working with employers who are high-quality and offer professionally-oriented remote, partially remote (hybrid), freelance and flexible jobs. We vet every organization along these lines and ask you to review and follow these terms. Every job you post or recruit on Joblist must:

  1. Not discriminate and must be available for qualified candidates regardless of actual or perceived race, color, creed, religion, national origin, ancestry, citizenship or immigration status, age, sex or gender (including pregnancy, childbirth), gender identity and expression (including transgender status), sexual orientation, marital status, military and veteran status, disability, protected medical condition as defined by applicable state or local law, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws and ordinances. Language such as, but not limited to, “H-1Bs Only” or “H-1Bs and OPT Preferred” must be avoided in all job posts. Any content that in our view indicates that there is a preference or restriction for a protected class is expressly prohibited.
  2. Comply with any applicable state or local pay transparency laws that require disclosure of salary ranges, description of benefits and other applicable compensation information in job postings.
  3. Correspond to a single, bona fide open position and must accurately describe the applicable work arrangement such as remote, hybrid, freelance, part-time, alternate, or flexible schedule.
  4. Be professional-level or career-oriented.
  5. Be immediately available (no “pool jobs”), must offer a base rate of pay (no commission-only), and must have no fees to apply or get started (no independent sales representative or multi-level marketing roles).
  6. Not cost the candidate any amount to apply for the position, conduct the interview or start working for your company. Business opportunities, including any job requiring an investment or payment to get started, are not permitted on Joblist.
  7. Not contain multi-level marketing opportunities (or “MLMs”) or pyramid schemes, focus groups or survey opportunities.
  8. Not contain advertisements of any kind (other than as part of the job posting).
  9. Comply with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, which prohibit the use of offensive, illegal or immoral content. More details can be found in Section 8 of our Terms of Use.
  10. Abide with all copyright notices, information or restrictions. Do not post jobs that are not from your company. Do not use trademarks and other IP assets that do not belong to you.
  11. Only be posted by authorized representatives of the employer.

Employers are explicitly prohibited from soliciting potentially invasive or sensitive personal or financial information from candidates in the database as part of the job application/advertisement process, such as social security, credit card, bank account numbers or any of the protected characteristics enumerated in Paragraph 1 above. If you are an Employer posting a job through the Service, it is your responsibility to ensure your job posting complies with all applicable laws.

Note that Joblist reserves the right to at any time remove content posted by you or disable and immediately suspend access to your account if you do not follow these rules, post or take any action that is not in line with our Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy or are not keeping with the mission of our service. By posting a job you expressly agree to indemnify and hold harmless Joblist and its affiliates for any complaint or investigation against Joblist or its affiliates arising out of a violation of these rules. Should you have any questions about these rules or how we implement them please contact our customer service team or send an email to [email protected].
