On a typical day, an EKG Technician may perform resting 12-lead ECGs, exercise stress tests, or Holter monitoring tests; recording and charting the results of ECG tests; reviewing the ECGs to verify that they are accurate and assure adherence to strict quality control standards; checking for correct patient identification before accessing medical records in electronic medical records, and maintaining supplies inventory
